To: Governor Rod Blagojevich and Members of the Illinois General Assembly:

Please Support The
Common Sense Gun Legislation For Illinois

As residents of Illinois, we have signed our names below to express serious concerns about the damaging impacts of gun violence to our families, friends and neighborhoods, and most of all, to our youth.   We strongly urge you to support common sense gun legislation and make sure these bills are enacted into law in 2008.

We cannot wait any longer.

Please vote YES on the following bills:

  • HB 758 - Universal Background Checks (Sponsor: Rep. Harry Osterman)
  • HB 796 - Handgun Dealer Licensing (Sponsor: Rep. Deborah Graham)
  • HB 4357 - Assault Weapons Ban (Sponsor: Rep. Eddie Acevedo)
  • HB 4393 – One Handgun/Month Restriction (Sponsor: Rep. Luis Arroyo)
  • SB 1007 – Ban High Capacity Ammunition Magazines (Sponsor: Sen. Dan Kotowski)
